Reinforcing Steel

Over the last number of years PFM has manufactured high quality galvanised products for the telecommunications industry. The main customer is ESBI. PFM has a special catalogue available displaying the standard products that we sell, but we can produce things that are not standard without hassle.

PFM supply a large amount of steel to SBS Timber Framed houses on an ongoing basis. If the timber buildings are quite large they require the reinforcing given by steel. The requirements for this type of job vary from house to house and as such each job is made to requirement.

PFM have recently undertaken a number of jobs involving stainless steel for our valued customers in the "Commissioners of Irish Lights". Stainless steel is necessary to prevent erosion by the high salinity of sea water. Stainless steel is more specialized and due to increasing demand we are currently in the process of setting up an area in our workshop entirely devoted to the fabrication of stainless steel.

As well as the regular ESBI and SBS jobs, PFM supplied steel lintels to support stone arches in the new shopping centre in Citywest Retail Park, Dublin. In 2004 PFM completed the following:

• Completion of the warehouse for AES
  
• A 3 acre concrete yard for Kilsaran concrete
  
• Numerous farm buildings
  
• A warehouse in Athlone
  
• A warehouse for the Agri sales at Colton Agri Sales, Tullamore
  
• An extension to a book shop in Portarlington
